Mark McManus, our Chief Solutions Officer, is a trusted business advisor and innovative workplace educator. He is a reservoir of considerable knowledge and expertise in financial crime prevention, corporate governance, and business strategy garnered from experience with Canadian financial services firms, a provincial securities regulator, and a Canadian global IT firm. He gained experience in the non-profit sector at the outset of his career, and was an officer in the Canadian Forces Reserve.
Using a systems-based and solutions-focused approach, Mark helps leaders focus their vision, streamline their processes and articulate their outcomes, while framing a strong sense of meaning to the task at hand.
Whether it is, for example, creating effective regulatory training programs that improve employee performance, developing competitive strategies that include elements of web and social media, or coaching leaders on gaining commitment through the incorporation of healthy dissent into decision-making processes, Mark has a proven track record in helping businesses solve the challenges they face.
Mark is a Certified Training and Development Professional, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. He earned a Master of Education degree, specializing in Workplace Learning and Change from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours degree from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario. Mark also has a Diploma in Law and Security Administration and a Certificate in Financial Management from Algonquin College in Ottawa. He is a member of several professional organizations and speaks at various events.
